John Vizentine was born and raised in Hazleton, graduating from West Hazleton High School and Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Rehabilitation Services Education and a minor in Psychology.

He received his law degree from Widener University, and before taking the bar, worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare.
