Born and raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Jeffrey A. Rockman has built a career around relationships, responsiveness and helping clients solve the issues in front of them. Today, his practice focuses primarily on municipal law, along with general and construction litigation, where he works with public entities and other clients on matters that often require both practical guidance and careful legal analysis.

Jeffrey’s municipal practice includes reviewing contracts, responding to Right-to-Know Law requests, attending public meetings and advising clients on the day-to-day legal issues that arise in local government and public administration. He also provides litigation support and handles disputes involving municipal and construction matters. Over the years, those working relationships have often grown into lasting professional connections, something Jeffrey considers one of the most rewarding parts of his practice.

For clients, Jeffrey puts a premium on being available when they need him. When an email comes in with a contract that needs reviewed, a Right-to-Know request that needs a response or a legal issue that needs attention, clients know they can expect a prompt answer. That responsiveness is part of the way Jeffrey builds trust with the people he works with, giving them confidence that their concerns are being heard and handled.

Before focusing his practice on municipal law, Jeffrey built a broad legal and business background. After beginning his career in litigation with a local law firm, he joined a Philadelphia-based firm handling complex matters involving antitrust, product liability and banking issues. He later returned to Northeastern Pennsylvania and practiced in areas including legal malpractice, employment litigation, collection law and commercial litigation.

Jeffrey also knows what it means to sit on the business owner’s side of the table. For more than 25 years, he owned and operated a bakery equipment and restaurant supply company while continuing to handle legal work, including collection and litigation matters. That experience gave him a practical understanding of the decisions, problems and pressures business owners face outside of a law office.

Jeffrey graduated from Brandeis University with Bachelor of Arts degrees in American Studies and Legal Studies before attending the Dickinson School of Law, where he was a member of the Dickinson Law Review and served as its Projects Editor. He is licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

Outside the office, Jeffrey enjoys sporting events, concerts and spending time with his dogs, Rufus, WALL-E and Doogle.
